Our expert says: Is an ANZ credit card right for you?

"With any Big Four bank you know you're getting a decent app and a big variety of cards to pick from. ANZ has long balance transfer offers of up to 28 months at 0%, which is great. Although the 3% balance transfer fee is a little higher than the best offers. The ANZ Black cards score very well in the frequent flyer and rewards categories: ANZ won the best Qantas Frequent Flyer card, the best rewards card and the best Business Rewards Card at the 2024 Finder Credit Card Awards."

Benefits of getting a credit card with ANZ

Every ANZ credit card comes with its own mix of features, but these are the benefits you'll get with any of them:

  • Mobile payments. You can add your ANZ credit cards to digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay, so you can pay straight from your mobile phone or device:
  • Instalment plans. ANZ credit cards offer instalment plans you can use to pay off purchases interest-free over 3, 6 or 12 months. You can set up a plan for eligible purchases through the ANZ app, then repay the balance in fixed amounts over your chosen period of time. There's a one-time setup fee for the instalment plan based on the value of the enrolled purchase balance and the term you choose:
    • 1.5% for a 3-month instalment plan
    • 3.5% for 6-month instalment plan
    • 6.5% for a 12-month instalment plan
  • ANZ credit card security. Every ANZ credit card comes with 24/7 security protection through ANZ Falcon, which detects and notifies you of any unusual account activity. You're also covered by the ANZ Fraud Money Back Guarantee and Visa Secure for online shopping.
