Our verdict
An everyday account with no monthly fees that gives you access to your money anywhere and anytime you need it.
The Great Southern Bank Everyday Account is designed for everyday spending, with no account keeping fees and unlimited fee-free electronic transactions in Australia.
It offers lots of different ways to spend including a free Visa Debit Card as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay. You can also set up a personal PayID for the account to make online transfers without using your BSB or Account Number.
Overseas ATM fees do apply and there’s a foreign transaction fee applied to international transactions too. So if you travel a lot, or if you regularly shop online on overseas sites, you might want to consider the Great Southern Bank Everyday Snap Account instead where you can avoid these fees.
But if saving is your main priority, you can use Great Southern Bank’s Savings Boost feature to round up your everyday purchases and add the remaining money straight into your savings.

Also what about fees for transferring funds to a different domestic account?
Val Finder
December 20, 2018
Hi Jarrod,
Thank you for leaving a question. Transferring funds to a different domestic account usually is free of charge. CUA charges some and very minimal transaction fees if you transfer funds overseas.
Hop this helps!
Cheers,
Val

What about stuff like account statements? Does it cost money to request those?
Val Finder
December 20, 2018
Hi Jarrod,
Thanks for contacting finder! If you want to request for account statements, this is free of charge. For statements, these usually are given every four months. If you prefer to receive statements monthly or quarterly, they can set this up for you. Just call 133 282 or visit your local CUA branch.
Hope this help!
Cheers,
Val
