Our verdict
This everyday transaction account has no monthly account keeping fees and supports Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.
The MyState Glide transaction account charges no monthly account keeping fees and comes with a free Visa debit card. You can use this card to make purchases in stores and online all over the world wherever Visa is accepted.
Like all Australian debit cards, you can make free ATM withdrawals at ANZ, NAB, CBA and Westpac ATMs in Australia. However if you use an ATM owned by a smaller provider you could be charged a fee by the ATM operator. It’s also important to note a foreign transaction fee applies on all transactions where a currency conversion is required. So if you travel often or regularly shop online from international retailers you could save yourself some money with a card that doesn’t charge this fee.
If you love making digital contactless payments, MyState offers the full suite of options including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and Garmin Pay. Plus, you can also set up a PayID to receive online money transfers without using your BSB and Account Number.
If you link this account to a MyState Bank Bonus Saver Account you can earn up to 5% p.a. on your savings balance, which is very competitive compared to other savings products in the market.

Hi Gem,
Thank you for your question.
The Visa debit and RediCard both have a $1000 daily limit (this excludes youth accounts). This limit includes both transactions and cash withdrawals. If you have a Visa debit card, you can select the credit option to override this limit; however this can only be extended to the balance of your account.
(Customers under the age of 13 years can only use a Glide Account operated by a Parent or Guardian; Non-Australian Citizens can only apply for a Glide Account by phone or in branch.)

Hi Samuel,
There should be a PayID option in the ‘Manage’ menu when you log into your MyState mobile app. Simply follow the prompts to set it up.
Thanks,

Are there any parental controls. Such as setting daily spend limits?
