Compare Launtel plans
Please note that we may not be showing Launtel's full range of NBN plans as plans will vary depending on your address. Launtel offers per day pricing. We've listed monthly prices based off daily rates over 30 days.
Launtel does things a bit differently compared to other NBN providers. You get charged per day which offers the flexibility of changing your speed tier on a daily basis.
It's also a top-performer when it comes to the reliability of its speeds as per the ACCC's broadband performance reports.
Given Launtel has a different pricing model, you can take advantage of its 7-day free trial before committing long term.
Launtel could be right for you if you:
Need fast, reliable speeds. Launtel always delivers the speed it advertises according to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) Measuring Broadband Australia report.
Need to change speeds frequently. If you need to do something outside of your ordinary internet use that your current speed wouldn't normally handle, you can change your speed for a short period of time to get the task done.
Use the internet infrequently. You can pause your service and not be charged.
It may not be the right fit for you if:
You want to pay per month. Paying daily rates and changing speeds regularly in a month may not be for everyone.
Launtel is unique in that it offers pricing per day as opposed to per month and there's no lock-in contract.
This allows you to stop and start your account at any time, or upgrade or downgrade your speed tier.
If you change your speed more than once in one day, you will be charged for the highest speed you choose within that day.
Launtel's daily pricing works on a pre-paid model, so you credit your account and the charges are taken out of that.
You can choose to top up your account with a single one-off payment amount each time. Or you can set up an auto recharge option, where if your balance drops below a certain level, you add a nominated amount each time.
Launtel doesn't offer a modem with its plans. You can BYO modem, or if you need to purchase one, Launtel will help you pick the best model for your requirements and budget.
Things to watch out for:
Keep in mind: Launtel charges 10 cents plus 0.89% for manual credit or direct debit transactions of $99.99 or below. Automatic transactions of $99.99 or below will receive a 50% reduction of the transaction fee. You don't pay any charges if you use PayID.
Performance
In December 2024, Launtel ranked equal 9th out of 12 providers in the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) broadband performance report. Launtel delivered maximum speeds 99.4% of the time during the busy hours of the day (7pm to 11pm).
Why does this matter? The ACCC report allows customers to see which NBN providers are delivering the speeds they've advertised as a measure of reliability.
Launtel has been first on 4 occasions since December 2022 and has been one of the top 4 providers in the quarterly ACCC Broadband Performance Report since it made its first appearance in March 2022.
With Launtel's score of over 100%, that means it always delivers the advertised speeds on its plans during busy hours of the day.

📶 Easily change speed tiers
You can upgrade or downgrade your speed at any time by yourself.
If you need extra speed for a one-off big download, you can increase your speed to get it done, then switch back.
Or if you're going to use the internet for less data-hungry tasks, you can decrease your speed for a while and then switch back to something higher when required.
⏸️ Pause your connection
You can stop and start your connection with Launtel at any time.
If you're going away for example, you could pause your connection while you're not at home so you don't have to pay for internet that you're not using.

Important information about this website
Finder makes money from featured partners, but editorial opinions are our own.
Finder is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We are committed to our readers and stand by our editorial principles.
We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.
Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labeling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
We make money by featuring products on our site. Compensation received from the providers featured on our site can influence which products we write about as well as where and how products appear on our page, but the order or placement of these products does not influence our assessment or opinions of them, nor is it an endorsement or recommendation for them.
Products marked as 'Top Pick', 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.
Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
Please read our website terms of use and privacy policy for more information about our services and our approach to privacy.
We update our data regularly, but information can change between updates. Confirm details with the provider you're interested in before making a decision.
