The BankSA Amplify Qantas Signature Card is the bank’s top-tier frequent flyer product and has a competitive bonus points offers that adds lots of value when you first get the card. As an example, with 90,000 Qantas Points, you could fly return from Melbourne to Auckland in business class (83,000 points), or get $400 of Woolworths WISH digital gift cards (87,220 points for a gift card worth $250, a gift card worth $100 and a gift card worth $50).

How to apply

You can apply for the BankSA Amplify Qantas Signature Card online in around 10 minutes and receive a response instantly.

Eligibility criteria

  • New cardholder. To be eligible for the bonus points offer, you cannot currently hold an Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature Card issued by St.George, Bank of Melbourne or BankSA, or have held one in the last 12 months.
  • Residency. To apply online, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Card benefits

  • Bonus points. Earn 90,000 bonus Qantas Points when you spend $6,000 within the first 90 days of card approval. To take advantage of this offer, you must apply and be approved by 31 July 2024. The points will be credited to your account within 12 weeks of the spend requirement being met.
  • Qantas Points per $1 spent. You'll earn 0.75 Qantas Point per $1 up to a maximum of $250,000 spent on eligible purchases per year (bonus Qantas Points not included in the cap). If you're not already a Qantas Frequent Flyer, you can join and avoid the membership fee when you apply for this card. Transactions that don't earn points include balance transfers, cash advances, account fees and a purchase from or payment to a government or government-related agency.

Rates & fees

  • Annual fee. This card charges a standard annual fee of $370. This includes both $295 standard fee and $75 annual Qantas Rewards fee.
  • Interest rate. If you carry a balance on this card, you will be charged the variable purchase interest rate of 19.49% p.a.
