Our verdict

This no annual fee credit card offers a 0% interest rate for the first 6 months and a variable 11.49% p.a. rate after that.

The Credit Union SA Workplace Benefits Credit Card has simple, low-cost features, including an ongoing $0 annual fee and the same low rate for all transactions. This means the introductory 0% p.a. interest rate applies to purchases, balance transfers and cash advances made in the first 6 months. The 11.49% p.a. variable rate that applies after that is also competitive with other low rate cards. But you’re only eligible to apply for this card if you’re employed by SA Power Networks (including subsidiaries).

Pros

  • Introductory 0% p.a. interest rate for 6 months
  • Low 11.49% p.a. variable rate after the introductory period
  • No annual fee ever

Cons

  • Only available to SA Power Networks employees
  • 3% foreign transaction fee
