Our verdict
Offers 0% interest payment plans when you make major purchases at participating stores around Australia – but watch out for the revert rate.
The interest-free finance options available through the Latitude GO Mastercard could help you get what you need without paying interest straight away. These offers vary between participating stores, but typically offer 0% p.a. for between 12, 18, 24 and 60 months. The stores where you can get a 0% interest payment plan vary based on your location, so it’s worth checking the Latitude GO Mastercard website to see if the retailer or brand you’re interested in is available. There is also a handful of participating retailers online – including Harvey Norman, The Good Guys and Freedom.
It’s also worth noting that you may need to make regular repayments as part of the plan. And if you don’t pay off the entire purchase by the plan’s end date, you’ll be charged interest at a high rate of 29.99% p.a. The other features include up to 55 interest-free days on purchases and a $10.95 monthly fee that is equivalent to a $131.40 annual fee when you're comparing cards.

Thanks for your question. Yes, you can apply for a 0% balance transfer offer to a credit card from another financial institution. You will need to provide the account details for your Latitude GO Mastercard account, as well as the amount you want balance transferred. Keep in mind that some credit card brands ask for the account name and number, and others require BPAY details for the account – so make sure you have the required information ready when you apply. I hope this helps.

I didn’t apply for Latitude Go Mastercard but received one recently. I have not activated it nor intend to. How open is my information regarding the latest Latitude security breach?

Hi Rose,
Latitude has said it is contacting affected customers directly. But if you didn’t apply for a credit card and received one in your name, it’s a good idea to check your credit report to see if the account details are listed on your credit file. You can do this for free through Finder and then get any mistakes or incorrect details removed from your credit report. You can also contact IDCARE on 1800 595 160 and report incidents through the Australian Cyber Security Centre website. I hope that helps.

Can u pay off the Go MasterCard by redeeming points on Go MasterCard?
Jhezelyn Finder
January 28, 2019
Hi Amba,
Thank you for your comment.
According to Go Mastercard, the points are not transferable to other accounts and are not redeemable for cash. Hence, the points cannot be used for repayments on the Go Mastercard.
You can redeem your points for a range of gifts and services via the GO Mastercard Online Service Centre.
Regards,
Jhezelyn
