Our verdict
This simple, Visa credit card has a relatively low 14.69% interest rate for purchases and a $40 annual fee.
The Regional Australia Bank Your Choice Credit Card is suited to people who want a low-cost credit card without any fancy extras. It has the same 14.69% p.a. interest rate for purchases and cash advances, which is low compared to the average credit card interest rate of around 20%. Its annual fee is also on par with other low rate credit cards. And if you have a Regional Australia Bank home loan, you can get a discounted interest rate of 11.69% p.a. But, as some cards have lower rates and fees, it's worth comparing a few options before you apply.

Hi Jeannie,
If you’re struggling to find the right card for you, then you need to work out what you’re looking for. There are low rate cards (easier to get, good for basic spending, lower fees), reward and frequent flyer cards (more expensive but you earn points) and many others.
If you are struggling to get a credit card approved you can check your credit score and see if there are any unpaid bills etc causing issues. Applying for a low rate or no annual fee card is usually easier to get approved than a more expensive card.
