Hi Karen,
The card does come with complimentary international travel insurance. It’s probably worth calling Westpac again and asking for more clarification. If you are not eligible for cover Westpac should be able to explain why.
There’s not much we can do to help unfortunately.

Hey Stewart,
Westpac defines eligible purchases here. https://www.westpac.com.au/faq/spend-and-save-eligible-purchase/
Couldn’t find a clear answer for your situation and I guess it depends how the invoice is paid. If it’s BPAY or direct debit then no.

Can I use this card for my mortgage payments?
Sarah Megginson Finder
July 26, 2024
Hi Craig,
To use this card to make mortgage payments, you will need to withdraw the money as a cash advance. This means you’ll be paying interest on the money (20%+) from the day you withdraw it, so it’s quite an expensive way to pay your mortgage.
