The Woolworths Qantas Platinum Credit Card combines the features of a balance transfer card with a premium frequent flyer product. The length of the 0% balance transfer offer is mid-range when compared to other offers, but it doesn’t charge a balance transfer fee which is a plus.

While the balance transfer feature can help you save on interest costs, the frequent flyer program and shopping perks reward you when you spend. The earn rate is particularly competitive if you regularly shop at Woolworths. Unlike some other platinum frequent flyer cards, this doesn’t currently offer any bonus points on signup.

I am enquiring about the “Platinum Perk” of entitling to fuel discounts. How is this discount achieved? Is it when you redeem points for $10 credit, or is there another discount achieved?

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your comment.

One of the advantages of using the Woolworths Platinum Credit Card is that you also will get access to some special perks. As for the fuel perks, you get to earn 2 points for every $1 spent on products purchased at CALTEX WOOLWORTHS co-branded fuel outlets. Minimum of 4,000 points is required to receive a $20 Shopping Card. More perks are found on the Woolworths card website.

Should you wish to have real-time answers to your questions, try our chat box on the lower right corner of our page.

Regards,

Jhezelyn

Hi Jean,

Thank you for getting in touch with finder.

With this card, you get comprehensive travel insurance including unlimited overseas medical emergency cover, interstate flight inconvenience cover and more. It also provides purchase security insurance and extended warranty insurance for shoppers.

Please note that overseas travel insurance, interstate flight inconvenience insurance, transport accident insurance, purchase security insurance, extended warranty insurance, wallet guard insurance and global hire car excess waiver are underwritten by ACE Insurance Limited and are subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions contained in the Woolworths Qantas Platinum Credit Card policy of insurance between Macquarie Bank Limited and ACE.

I hope this helps.

Have a great day!

Cheers,

Jeni

I am going to purchase an overseas holiday using my Woolworths credit card in full. Do I have to complete the travel insurance forms that is complimentary with this card? If so where do I find them and are my children also covered in this policy?

Hi Mel!

Thanks for the comment.

Family members are only covered if they are with you during the entire trip, as with most insurers’ requirements.

It is best to contact them directly about the forms and other paperworks you would need.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Jonathan

1. To qualify for the 16000 Qantas bonus points, do you only have to make one eligible purchase by 31 July? Is there a minimum amount of purchase?

2. What is the eligibility for international travel insurance?

3. What is meant by “Interstate flight inconvenience cover”?

4. Is there a rewards program fee on top of the annual fee of $169?

5. Are self funded retirees eligible for the card?
