Finder Retail Awards 2023: Best homeware brands in Australia

The Finder Retail Awards recognises Australia's favourite brands across more than 100 retail categories. We survey thousands of real Australians to understand how they feel about their recent product purchases, and use that information to reward the most popular brands.

These are the best brands for homeware care in the 2023 Awards.

Best rated toilet paper

Best-rated electric blanket brand: Dreamaker

Dreamaker has been crowned the best electric blanket brand at this year's Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards. It received excellent ratings for performance, ease of use, cleaning and maintenance, product features and value for money. 94% of surveyed customers recommended Dreamaker electric blankets.

Best rated toilet paper

Best-rated home security system brand: Ring

The Amazon-owned Ring has taken out this year's award for best home security system brand. Ring received excellent scores in every metric including product features and value for money. The brand was recommended by 94% of those surveyed.

Best-rated kitchen knives brand: Victorinox

Victorinox is most famous for the Swiss Army Knife but it also manufactures a range of award-winning kitchen knives. It can now add a Finder Customer Satisfaction Award to its list of accolades courtesy of unbeaten scores for performance, maintenance and ease of use. 92% of respondents said they would recommend Victorinox to others.

Best rated lawn mower

Best-rated lawn mowers brand: Masport

Masport is Australia's best-rated lawn mower brand courtesy of high ratings for performance, ease of use, cleaning and maintenance, product features and value for money. 96% of surveyed customers recommended Masport lawnmowers.

Best Mattress Brand 2022

Best-rated mattress brand: Sealy

With excellent scores for comfort, support and durability, Sealy has risen to the top to take out this year's mattress brand award. An incredible 98% of surveyed customers said they would recommend Sealy mattresses to others.

Best paint brand

Best-rated paint brand: Dulux

Dulux was the top performing paint brand at this year's Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards thanks to solid ratings across all scoring metrics including quality of finish, durability, ease of use and value for money. It received an overall recommendation score of 93%.

Best rated pressure washer

Best-rated pressure washer brand: Gerni

If you need to quickly clean large areas with water, a Gerni pressure washer is the product you're looking for. Gerni beat out 13 other brands to be crowned this year's best pressure washer brand with top scores for performance and ease of use. Gerni was recommended by 92% of the customers we surveyed.

Best rated Whipper Snippers

Best-rated whipper snipper brand: Stihl

For the crispest, cleanest lawn imaginable, look no further than Stihl. The German manufacturer topped the results to win the Finder Award for best whipper snipper brand. Surveyed customers gave Stihl consistently high ratings for performance and value for money, with 98% saying they would recommend the brand.

How we chose the winners

The Finder Retail Awards recognises brand sentiment from customer feedback on different retail product categories. Finder worked with data and insights company Dynata to conduct thousands of customer interviews around their product purchasing history and satisfaction with their purchased products.
