We surveyed over 500 Australians to find out which streaming services performed best for content quality, value for money and more.

Disney Plus

Disney Plus was ranked the number 1 streaming service by customers. It topped the categories for both its range and quality of content. Around 92% of respondents said they would recommend Disney Plus, which was the most of all the streaming services surveyed. Disney Plus is known for having a vast range of content, from beloved family-focused entertainment, popular brands such as Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel, to adult-orientated fare under the Star banner. There are no separate tiers and 4K titles are included in its only plan. You can subscribe monthly, or get a discount if you sign up for a year.

Netflix was runner-up in the Customer Satisfaction Awards for streaming services. It scored the highest out of any provider under the customer service and value for money categories. It also ranked highly for content quality. Some of the most zeitgeist-defining shows feature on the service such as Stranger Things, Wednesday, Bridgerton and The Crown. It offers multiple plans to choose from, starting from $6.99 a month with ads right up to a Premium plan for $22.99 a month that lets you watch in 4K across multiple devices. It is a long-established player in the streaming space and 91% of respondents said they would recommend Netflix.

Taking out the bronze medal in this year's Customer Satisfaction Awards is sports streaming service Kayo. It scored near the top across multiple categories such as customer service, value for money and content range and quality. As such, 80% of Australians would recommend the streaming service. Kayo features over 50 sports you can watch live and on demand, with some events exclusively available on the service. It has many special features tailor-made for viewing sport, such as SplitView where you can watch up to 4 games at once or Key Moments, which lets you jump right to the important parts of events.
