Our verdict
Suncorp doesn't offer the biggest funeral benefit or overall cover limit, but its policies are flexible and premium savings can be found.
- Take advantage of flexibility that allows you to pay for your TAL-backed policy on a fortnightly, monthly or annual basis.
- What’s more, Suncorp Life is one of just a handful of insurers we could find who offer the chance to suspend your premium for up to three months in some circumstances.
- This brand offers a funeral benefit of $10,000. This might be okay for some, but you can get up to $25,000 with the likes of TAL and Qantas.

Finder Score - Life Insurance
Life Insurance is a little complicated and a lot overwhelming. That's why we made the Finder Score, to make it easier to compare Life Insurance products against each other. Our experts analysed over 30 products and gave each one a score between 1 and 10.
But a higher score doesn't always mean a product is better for you. Your situation is unique, so your policy choice will be too. Don't think of Finder Score as the final word, but as a good place to start your life insurance comparison.

How do I Make a Claim for Suncorp Life Insurance?
You'll need to contact Suncorp Life as soon as possible to provide notification of your claim.
You will then be sent a claims pack which will detail the next steps you need to follow. In addition to filling out and returning a claims form, you will also need to provide evidence to support your claim. The evidence required will vary on the nature of your claim and may include:
- Details of the injury or illness giving rise to your claim, including a report from your medical practitioner
- Evidence of your earnings
- Details of your bills and other ongoing expenses
- Evidence of the death of the life insured
You must provide any evidence Suncorp Life requests as soon as possible and at your own expense. Failure to do so could lead to the refusal or rejection of your claim.
