Why compare mobile plans with Finder?
We don't charge extra. Prices shown on Finder are the same as those you get directly from mobile plan providers.
We regularly work with providers to deliver amazing exclusive offers you won't find anywhere else.
We have a team dedicated to monitoring mobile plan prices and keeping deals updated daily.
How do I find the best iPhone 12 plan?
To find the right iPhone 12 plan for your needs, consider the following when comparing plans:
Mobile network. You can get an iPhone 12 with Telstra, Optus or Vodafone. While price is obviously front of mind for most people when comparing, consider the mobile network you'll get your plan on too. If you're going to be on that plan for 1-3 years, it's important you're happy with the network you sign up to.
Think about how much data you need. Phone plans often come with high data caps, but that also means higher price tags. Consider how much monthly data you'll actually burn through and pick a plan that best suits your usage.
Decide on a plan length. While a 36-month repayment will mean cheaper monthly costs, 3 years is a pretty long time to stick with the same provider. The good news is that phone providers don't lock you into contracts anymore so you can technically leave whenever you want. You'll just need to pay off the remaining cost of your device before you switch.
What's the cheapest iPhone 12 plan?
If keeping costs low is important to you, you'll want to start with Vodafone for an iPhone 12 plan.
Because Vodafone's mobile plans are cheaper than Telstra and Optus, it makes its iPhone plans the cheapest of the lot.
Good to know: The price of the phone itself doesn't change when you look at different providers. The main difference in cost comes from the price of their mobile plans attached to the phone.
The cheapest iPhone 12 plan is the 64GB model on Vodafone's $40 plan.
Keep in mind that Vodafone has the smallest network out of the 3 in Australia, so while its prices are enticing, make sure you're happy with its coverage footprint.
Telstra's iPhone 12 plans and offers
Telstra currently has no deals available across its iPhone 12 range. But you'll get access to 3 months of Telstra device security, 4 months of Spotify Premium, and 2 months access to BINGE as standard on any Telstra mobile plan.
Data sharing with up to 10 Upfront mobile or data services linked to your account.
No excess data charges. Your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps once you've used up your monthly data allowance.
Unlimited international texts to all countries.
Optus iPhone 12 plans and offers
While there are no discounts on the iPhone itself, Optus is offering $20 off for the first 12 months on its Plus Promo plan. So you'll get a huge 500GB of data each month for just $69 a month, before reverting to $89 a month after a year.
You also have an option to use an interest free device payment plan with OptusPay. T&Cs apply.
Discounted Optus Sport access. Pay $9.99/mth as an Optus customer. Non-Optus customers pay $24.99/mth
Access to Optus SubHub. Manage eligible subscriptions (e.g. Netflix, Amazon Prime) and save up to 10%
5G network access on all plans.
Endless data. Your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps once you've chewed through your monthly data allowance.
Vodafone's iPhone 12 plans and offers
Vodafone doesn't have any offer for their iPhone 12 besides their free trial of Apple TV+ for 3 months.
With Vodafone, you'll get the following included with your plan:
Discounts when selected bundling services together
"Unlimited mobile data" on postpaid plans. Speeds drop down to 2Mbps once you hit your monthly data limit
You can refund any monthly plan fees or device installments that you've paid if you're not happy with Vodafone's network coverage within the first 30 days.

Important information about this website
Finder makes money from featured partners, but editorial opinions are our own.
Finder is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We are committed to our readers and stand by our editorial principles.
We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.
Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labeling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
We make money by featuring products on our site. Compensation received from the providers featured on our site can influence which products we write about as well as where and how products appear on our page, but the order or placement of these products does not influence our assessment or opinions of them, nor is it an endorsement or recommendation for them.
Products marked as 'Top Pick', 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.
Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
Please read our website terms of use and privacy policy for more information about our services and our approach to privacy.
We update our data regularly, but information can change between updates. Confirm details with the provider you're interested in before making a decision.
