iPhone 15 plans and offers

Want to grab Apple's latest phone? We've included the base model for the iPhone 15 on a 36-month plan but you can use the filters to find the model, cost, and plan length you're after.

Other iPhone plans and offers

It's a bit of a hotch-potch as to which telco is offering which model of the older iPhones. We suggest using filters to get clear answers.

The gist is you can still get the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone SE (3rd gen) on a plan.

iPhone 15 models compared

Apple's kept the iPhone 15 range interesting by slinging four models to choose from.

Prices start at:

  • $1,499 for iPhone 15
  • $1,649 for iPhone 15 Plus
  • $1,849 for iPhone 15 Pro
  • $2,199 for iPhone 15 Pro Max

Let's give you a quick rundown of each if you're debating which one to get on a plan.

iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max

The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max boast USB-C charging, a sleek new titanium design that's both lighter and tougher, and the A17 Pro chip - Apple's most powerful yet.

Enjoy longer battery life and lightning-fast performance, plus more detail and colour from its cameras. The iPhone 15 Pro Max also supports 5x optical zoom.

Both models are available to get on a plan from Telstra, Optus and Vodafone.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus now come with the Dynamic Island display, the A16 Bionic chip, and 48-megapixel main cameras.

The iPhone 15 Plus was finally given a much-needed uplift from its previous status as the awkward middle child. It's a good step up from the base model if you like big screens and want a solid battery life.

Both phones can be bought on a handset repayment plan from Telstra, Optus and Vodafone.

Telstra iPhone plans

You can get the full iPhone 15 range, the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone SE (3rd gen) and iPhone 11 from Telstra.

Signing up for an iPhone plan with Telstra means you'll also get:

  • Access to Australia's largest 4G and 5G network.
  • No excess data charges for surpassing your monthly data allowance. Instead, your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps.
  • A host of additional extras including 4 months Spotify Premium, 2 months of BINGE and 3 months of Telstra Device Security.
  • Unlimited international texts to standard numbers and at least 30 minutes of free calls.
  • Option to earn Telstra Plus points for rewards.

The only thing to keep in mind is that Telstra's SIM-only plans are on the pricier side compared to the other 2 telcos.

Optus iPhone plans

Optus offers a range of models including the full iPhone 15 line-up, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone SE (3rd gen) and iPhone 11.

Signing up to an iPhone plan with Optus will also get you:

  • Bonus 3 months of Amazon Prime worth $29.97
  • Optus Sport at a discounted price. You'll pay $9.99 per month instead of the usual $24.99
  • Endless data. Your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps once you've chewed through your data allowance
  • Data sharing across eligible linked accounts
  • Unlimited international calls and texts to 35 selected destinations (on its Medium plan and above)
  • Up to 10% in savings when you bundle 3 or more subscriptions via Optus SubHub or up to $20 every month on streaming when you sign up to the Large Choice

Vodafone iPhone plans

Vodafone's iPhone range includes the full iPhone 15 lineup, iPhone 14 and iPhone 13.

Signing up with Vodafone will also give you access to:

  • No excess charges. Your speeds will be capped at 2Mbps once you've used up your data allowance
  • 3 months of BINGE for both new and returning customers
  • Unlimited international texts on all plans
  • Unlimited international minutes to Zone 1 countries and 300 minutes to Zone 2 countries on the medium and large SIM-only plans
  • $5 a day roaming to use your regular SIM-only plan overseas

How do I find the best iPhone plan?

Finding the best iPhone plan really comes down to what you're looking for and your budget.

If we set offers aside, Vodafone gives you the cheapest way to get a new iPhone since it has the cheapest entry-level SIM-only plan.

To be fair, Optus isn't too far behind. Its cheapest SIM-only plan is only $3 a month more expensive. Plus, you get a nice discount on Optus Sport if that's important to you.

Telstra is the priciest option but offers the most extensive network coverage. This is worth considering since you'll be on a phone repayment plan for 12, 24, or even 36 months.

When comparing plans, the selling point might be the discounts the telcos are offering on the phones or any freebies available alongside.

Peta Taylor's experience

"For as long as I can remember, I have been buying my iphones as part of a phone plan. Yes, it ends up being a bit more expensive in the long run but it's a cost I'm willing to cop for the convenience and immediate affordability that paying monthly allows me. Maybe one day I'll change tact but realistically, iPhones aren't getting any cheaper and parting with a small monthly amount is so much more palatable to me than parting with a few thousand dollars in one go."

Is it worth getting a refurbished iPhone?

Refurbished iPhones or phones in general get a bad rap but they're not a bad shout if you want to save on upfront costs.

However, you want to make sure you're buying it from a reputable retailer and that there's a warranty in place.

Some options include Amazon, Belong, Boost Mobile, Catch, OzMobile, reebelo and Kogan.

      Hi Vince,

Thanks for your message and for visiting Finder.

While we don’t have a Finder page that covers SIM-only plans for iPhone X, you can use any SIM-only plans, given that it meets the size requirement for your device, on your iPhone once it’s unlocked. Some iPhones will only work with a SIM card provided to the carrier they’re locked to. If you purchased your iPhone within the past few years, it’s likely to be unlocked. If your iPhone is older than that, it might be locked to a particular network. For you to be able to freely use any SIM, you need to network unlock your mobile phone.

While we don’t provide a specific product recommendation, you may want to refer to the link above for a list of Finder handpicked SIM-only plans. You can press the “Go to site” button when you are ready to sign up and make a purchase.

Feel free to reply to this message should you have further questions.

      Thanks and best regards,

      Nikki

      Hi Stu,

Thanks for reaching out to us. I hope all is well with you today.

I am sorry because I am unable to give a recommendation on which options are cheapest and most reliable as your decision would entirely depend on your needs.

We may give you a list of options that you may review though. Please check out the following pages:

      Home internet plans
      Cheap phones in Australia

Please take time to review the relevant details of information as well as the Product Disclosure Statements / Terms & Conditions of each option so you would be able to compare and eventually decide on which option would suit your needs. When you are ready, you may then click on the “Go to site” button and you will be redirected to the provider’s website where you can proceed with the application or get in touch with their representatives for further inquiries you may have.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Judith
