You can get the iPhone 14 from all 3 telcos but the iPhone 14 Plus is only available through Telstra and Optus.

The good news is the iPhone 13 now costs $1,099 outright following the launch of the iPhone 15 last year and soon, the iPhone 16.

The only thing to keep in mind is that Telstra's SIM-only plans are on the pricier side compared to the other 2 telcos.
Optus offers a range of models including the full iPhone 15 line-up, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone SE (3rd gen) and iPhone 11.

Finding the best iPhone plan really comes down to what you're looking for and your budget.
If we set offers aside, Vodafone gives you the cheapest way to get a new iPhone since it has the cheapest entry-level SIM-only plan.
To be fair, Optus isn't too far behind. Its cheapest SIM-only plan is only $3 a month more expensive. Plus, you get a nice discount on Optus Sport if that's important to you.
Telstra is the priciest option but offers the most extensive network coverage. This is worth considering since you'll be on a phone repayment plan for 12, 24, or even 36 months.
When comparing plans, the selling point might be the discounts the telcos are offering on the phones or any freebies available alongside.
"For as long as I can remember, I have been buying my iphones as part of a phone plan. Yes, it ends up being a bit more expensive in the long run but it's a cost I'm willing to cop for the convenience and immediate affordability that paying monthly allows me. While we don’t have a Finder page that covers SIM-only plans for iPhone X, you can use any SIM-only plans, given that it meets the size requirement for your device, on your iPhone once it’s unlocked. Some iPhones will only work with a SIM card provided to the carrier they’re locked to. If you purchased your iPhone within the past few years, it’s likely to be unlocked. If your iPhone is older than that, it might be locked to a particular network. For you to be able to freely use any SIM, you need to network unlock your mobile phone.
