How to apply

In order to apply for the St.George Visa Debit Account you must already hold at least one of these accounts or apply for one and the debit card at the same time; Complete Freedom, Complete Freedom Student, Retirement Access Plus or Concession Account. Read our brief reviews of each of these St.George accounts.

Eligibility

Eligibility requirements for each of the accounts that can be linked to the Visa Debit Card will differ, but you will need to be an Australian resident with a residential address in order to qualify. In some cases you may also find that there is a separate age requirement for the Visa Debit Card, and you will instead be issued a standard access card for your account if you fall under that age requirement. Before making a final choice, make sure that you read the fine print and are comparing the account differences with other Australian Banks' similar accounts.

Hi Najem,

Thanks for your inquiry.

While you are linking your St.George Visa Debit Card and have it as an offset account, you may still use your card for your everyday transactions. This card does not charge ATM Withdrawal Fee, Monthly Account Fee or Annual fee. Although please note that when your repayment for your home loan is due, you must have enough savings to cover your repayment. I would also encourage you to check your lender for associated fees on your home loan.

Best regards,

Rench

Hi Arnold,

Thanks for getting in touch with finder.com.au.

If you mean making transactions overseas, it actually depends on where you are using it. Visa Debit Card can be used anywhere around the world that a Visa Credit Card is accepted. In most cases, Visa debit transactions are free, however, there are some instances that a merchant may charge an additional fee at the time of withdrawal or purchase.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Jhezelyn
