Our Verdict

Pros

  • PassportCard has 3 levels of cover to choose from so you can pick what’s right for your trip.
  • Its most comprehensive international policy includes an unlimited benefit for overseas medical expenses.
  • Instant payments with no excess are available for approved medical, stolen cash and luggage delay claims.

Cons

  • Its car rental excess has a limit of $5,000. Other providers have higher limits.

PassportCard’s most comprehensive policy is comparable to other comprehensive travel insurance policies. It includes an unlimited benefit for medical expenses, a high limit for luggage issues (like theft or damage) and a generous limit of $5million for personal liability. These features are either consistent or better than many other providers in the market.
