      Hi Robyn,

Thanks for leaving a question on Finder.

Traveling with cash in Vanuatu is recommended. We have a comparison of travel money cards for Vanuatu to avoid paying international transfer fees and commissions. Some places in Vanuatu accept Australian dollars as well, however, the exchange rate is generally unfavorable. Since Vanuatu is not as popular as saying Bali or the USA just to name a few, we do not have a specific page for travel money cards there. Thanks for bringing this up and we might update our pages soon and include Vanuatu. Hope you find what you need and please remember that you can always send us a message anytime if you have further questions.

      Cheers,
      Joel

I am traveling to China and cannot see it listed as a location which surprises me. Also from my initial research it does not get listed on any cards. So, can you recommend a travel card for China or is cash the best option?

    Thank You.

      Hi Brenden,

Thank you for getting in touch with Finder.

Since you are traveling to China, please check our list of travel money options.

China is developing at a rapid pace, and is emerging as a centre for the global banking and financial services; however, outside of the major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, and Hong Kong, you won’t be able to reply on using your card and will need to carry cash.

      I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any other enquiries.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

      Cheers,
      Jeni

I want to know what is the best travel card for serbia

      Hi Mili,

Thanks for leaving a question on finder.

Serbia is home to mountains, monasteries, vampires (well, maybe), raspberries and an edgy nightlife scene. The Balkan nation is growing as a destination for tourists and is very much cash based compared to other countries in Western Europe. Visa and Mastercard credit cards are widely accepted by merchants with point of sale card payment facilities as well as ATMs. Banking services and facilities in Belgrade and other large cities are modern and safe; however, you may have problems using your cards for purchases in towns and rural areas. ATM access may be limited in these places, too. The currency of the Republic of Serbia is the dinar (RSD). We compare products you can use to spend in RSD without paying international transaction fees.

      Cheers,
      Joel

I want to know the best type of card for Norway and Sweden. Also how and the cheapest way to do this?

      Hi Edna,

      Thanks for your question.

The “best” option will depend on exactly where you are travelling, your financial situation and your travel spending habits.

You might want to either consider a debit, credit card or prepaid card that doesn’t charge foreign transaction or currency conversion fees. You may also carry a prepaid travel card with you.

It’s always a good idea to have more than one travel money option. So you might want to consider a credit card that’s designed for overseas expenses for emergencies and big purchases and a debit or prepaid card and cash for everyday expenses. You should never keep all of your money options on you at one time, try to leave one option in a safe place (such as your hotel safe or with your luggage) to ensure that you’re not strapped for cash should you lose your wallet.

For travel money tips on travelling to Europe (including Sweden and Norway), please see this Travel Money Guide to Europe.

Please ensure to read through the relevant product disclosure statement and terms and conditions of the card your will use to ensure that you got everything covered before you travel.

      I hope this helps,

      Cheers,
      Sally

      Hi Jojo,

      Thanks for your enquiry.

You can compare a range of money transfer providers that transfer funds to South Africa and compare fees and transfer speed. If you look under the rate and online transfer fee tab, you will be able to find the most competitive provider for your transaction.

Otherwise, you can compare different travel money cards and travel money tips. Some of which you can load the South African Rand (ZAR). Please ensure to read through the relevant product disclosure statement and terms and conditions of the card to ensure that you got everything covered before you travel.

      Thanks,
      Belinda
