Woolworths rebrands to Everyday Mobile. What does it mean for you?

Woolworths Mobile will change its name to Everyday Mobile in August.

Woolworths Mobile is shaking things up by rebranding to Everyday Mobile and offering a simple selection of mobile plans instead.

Ahead of the rebrand, Woolworths is already stopping the sale of its handsets. It says existing customers will not be impacted by these changes

Those that tend to get Samsung Galaxy phone deals on a plan from the telco for cheaper will miss out.

Telstra, Optus and Vodafone phone plans are usually more expensive due to higher mobile plan prices.

Why is Woolworths Mobile rebranding?

Woolworths Mobile is tapping into its Everyday Rewards program for its new name. It'll continue selling its usual slew of prepaid and SIM-only plans.

A spokesperson explained why they had come to this decision.

"Over the past 3 years, our growth has been driven by offering simple, no lock-in and flexible great value plans along with money-saving benefits including 10% off a Woolworths shop every month in store," a Woolworths spokesperson said.

"We know our customers are savvy and understand they can save money on their mobile phone plan by finding a great value pre-paid or SIM-Only plan and finance the cost of the device themselves."

Once the rebranding is complete, Everyday Mobile customers will continue getting the grocery discount. They will need to sign up to the Everyday Rewards program in order to receive the discount.

Woolworths Mobile rebrand comes months after raising prices

Woolworths Mobile's rebranding news comes just months after the telco increased prices of its mobile plans by up to 25% but with additional data.

Despite the price changes, Woolies remains a good option thanks to a solid dollar to data ratio. Its long-expiry prepaid mobile plan was highly commended in the 2023 Finder Awards.
