Belong is a cheaper cousin to Telstra. It's fully owned by the telco giant but offers its own plans which are comparatively more affordable prices.
Each Belong NBN plan also comes with a SIM loaded with $80 of credit – equal to almost 3 months of Belong's 25GB mobile plan.
Keep in mind that Belong doesn't offer any form of home phone service in case you want to keep an active home phone line.
Based on Belong NBN scores in Finder's 2024 Customer Satisfaction Awards.
Belong NBN plans are fairly decent value, coming in around $10 cheaper than the Finder average for its speed tiers.
Belong's mobile broadband plans are excellent value across the board. It even features one of the highest data caps available on the market: 500GB for only $70.
Best of all, Belong doesn't place any restrictions on how you can use it, so you can share it between all your devices in any way you want – some providers don't allow this.
Sadly, there are no third-party measures of Belong's broadband performance (such as the ACCC Broadband Performance Report).
However, Belong's advertised typical evening speeds are at or near the maximum for their speed tiers, which means your connection should perform well most of the time.
Belong only has 2 ways to get in touch if you need some help.
Belong has a couple of nice features on its NBN plans:
All Belong NBN plans come with a bonus mobile SIM containing $80 of credit.
This is equivalent to almost 3 months of Belong's $30 for 25GB mobile plan, which is pretty handy to have if you're looking to switch mobile plans.

Regarding your question, generally speaking, there are not there are no fees for retaining an existing home phone. If you wish to check and compare broadband plans, check our NBN internet page for more details.
Hope this information helped.

I currently have and pay for a landline. Can this be transferred to Belong if I take up one of their nbn options please/
Hi Gordon,
Thanks for your question.
If you have decided to go with a new provider, generally, you may still keep your old phone number and port it over to the new provider to continue receiving calls made to your existing phone number.
You may directly get in touch with your new provider to check the requirements for number porting.
Cheers,
Anndy

2 Harrison Crescent Yankalilla is a near new home but the nbn has not been connected to the house. I can see wires coiled by the electrical green box by the footpath.
Could you give an estimation of time frame and basic costs to have the basic nbn installed in the house please.
Hi Neil,
Thanks for your inquiry.
I have entered your address into our NBN tracker, but there doesn’t seem to be any information on the NBN rollout in your area. I would recommend contacting NBNCo directly with your query.
Thanks,
Brodie
