I am wanting to get an ISP with download speed 500Mb or greater. I live in a Gated Community where we must use Retrain and not NBN for ISP. Retrain provides a list of ISPs we can use, but when contacting them they inform you that either they no longer operate with Redtrain or that 100Mb is the fastest speed they can provide. WHY
Hi Koda, it could be that the connection you have can’t support speeds faster than 100Mbps but it’s always best to check with the provider. I can see the list of ISPs that Redtrain uses here: https://www.redtrain.com.au/residents/#rsps. I checked iPrimus for example and it appears they do offer fast speed internet plans that you’re after: https://www.iprimus.com.au/fibre-plans. I would suggest contacting them for clarity and a couple of others on the list such as Launtel and Leaptel if you haven’t already. I appreciate this isn’t ideal but these are some of the more well-established brands so hopefully their customer support should help you out.

With the new updates to higher speeds FTTP (100) do I have to change my current email address if I change ISP’s & will my Telstra modem series 2 be compatible with other ISP’s???
Hi John, if your email ID is linked to your provider, you may need to change your email address. I would suggest checking with your provider directly. As for modem compatibility, your hardware should in theory work with other providers but it’s always best to check with them directly before signing up. Hope this helps!
