An FTTN or Fibre to the Node connection is utilised where the existing copper network from a nearby node, most likely a cabinet on the street, is used to make the final part of the connection to the NBN to your residence.
As you're connecting to the NBN via the copper network and not fibre optic cable directly, it's considered one of the slowest and least reliable NBN connections.

Hi . I’m with dodo and Live in town in Portland Vic. I’m paying for 100mbn but can only revice 65 mbn , it’s as fast as thy can provide. If I change companies, will I get a faster speed or does it no matter who I go with . Is it more to do with where I live and the cables/ infrastructure , cos I don’t want it slower . Dodo offers this information regarding its speed tiers: https://www.dodo.com/nbn/speed-tiers. If you contact Dodo direct about why you’re only getting 65MBps, they might be able to offer an answer as to why this is happening and if your speed will be affected if you went with another provider.
