Our verdict
Pros
- Bingle's comprehensive car insurance is comparatively cheap. Our research of 37 providers shows that Bingle is the cheapest provider on average, costing approximately $862.
- For a competitively priced premium, Bingle's comprehensive policy is good at covering the basics (e.g. damage to your car and others).
- Bingle's product disclosure statement (PDS) is easy to read and understand with limited jargon or vague terminology.
Cons
- Bingle's comprehensive policy covers less than its competitors' policies. For example, Budget Direct's comprehensive policy includes a new car replacement If your car is written off in the first 2 years or is under 40,000kms. New car replacement is an optional extra with Bingle.
- Bingle is all online. This may not be ideal for those who aren't tech savvy.
- Bingle offers cover for market value only. Those who want more control over how much their car is covered for won't be able to do this. For insurers who offer agreed value, see Budget Direct or Youi.
Congratulations, Bingle!
