Woolworths credit cards update in 2023
Credit card issuer Macquarie has announced that it will no longer offer Woolworths credit cards. Between June and August 2023, existing customers will have their Woolworths credit card replaced with a Macquarie Platinum Credit Card that earns points through the Macquarie Rewards program.
A Woolworths spokesperson told Finder: "We'd like to thank our credit card customers for their loyalty over the years and remind them they can continue to get great value offers they had with their credit card, including the bonus 10% off their monthly shop, through being customers of our Everyday Extra program, Everyday Insurance and Woolworths Mobile products."
We've kept other details about Woolworths Credit Cards below for reference. You can also compare a wide range of rewards credit cards available on Finder right now.

If I have an average credit rating.. Should I even bother to apply?
Hi Brian,
Thanks for your inquiry.
As long as you meet the application requirements for a credit card you will be eligible to apply. You may like to refer to our guide on credit card approval.
However, before you apply for another credit card, you may wish to speak with some credit card issuers directly to discuss your options and chances for acceptance, as several rejected credit card applications will have a negative impact on your credit rate and reduce your chances of approval even further.
I hope this has helped answer your questions.
Thanks,
Sally

Hi ntombi,
Thanks for your inquiry!
Please note that finder.com.au is an online comparison service and is not directly affiliated with Woolworths.
If you have decided this card suits your needs, you can apply for this credit card by pressing the ‘Go to Site’ button which will take you to a secure web-form which will allow you to complete your credit card application. The application will only take you 10 to 15 minutes to complete if you have the required information (identification, income and expenses) ready. The eligibility requirements for the credit card are also available at the bottom of the review page to help assess whether the card is suitable for you.
I hope this has helped.
Cheers,
Jonathan
I have a platinum Visa card which is now interest free for the amount that’s on there, if I were to take more money out will that amount be taken off first or last? If it’s taken off last then it’s accumulating interest while I pay off the interest free?
Hi Katie, thanks for your inquiry!
In regards to interest repayments when there is an interest free amount/ promotional rate present on the credit card, repayments will go to the highest rate of interest repayable on that credit card then to the next highest rate of interest and so forth. As a result taking money out would qualify as a cash advance which would take the first priority for repayments unless there was a higher interest rate available.
Cheers,
Jonathan
