How we picked our 2024 Finder Share Trading Awards

Our share trading platform award winners are based on 100+ hours of research by our expert authors and insights team.

We researched 40 of Australia's most popular share trading platforms including CommSec, CMC Invest and nabtrade. We compared 130 features including fees, available markets, trading features, research tools and much more.

Depending on the award category, we then weighted these features based on their relevance. For example, in the Best for Beginners category, we assigned more weight to things like educational tools, while for Best for Australian Equities, we assigned more weight to things like CHESS-sponsorship.
