Formerly known as Qantas epiQure, Qantas Wine rewards frequent flyers with points for every $1 they spend on premium wines, spirits and food at the online store. Qantas Wine also regularly runs bonus points deals, making your next wine purchase even more rewarding.
Discover how the store works and how you can take advantage of the offers to boost your points with your next wine purchase.
How to earn Qantas Points at Qantas Wine
Qantas Wine is an online store for wine enthusiasts and foodies who want to earn frequent flyer points for every $1 they spend.
Exclusive to Qantas Frequent Flyers, you can visit the online store and earn 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent when you purchase any of the award-winning wines, mixed cases, spirits and food on offer. The store also regularly offers bonus points promotions, sometimes allowing you to earn up to 15,000 bonus points at the checkout. This can mean that buying wine is actually cheaper than buying points directly if you want to top up your balance to score a particular reward.
Plus, if you're paying with a Qantas Frequent Flyer card, you can double dip and earn Qantas Points both with your card and through the online store. If you have a card that offers 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent, your points potential could increase to 2 to 4 points per $1 spent at the checkout.
You can filter your selections by your preferred wine (such as red wine, white wine, champagne and sparkling or mixed cases), grape varieties and price range. You can also filter your options by sale items and bonus points offers.
After you’ve checked out, you can expect your Qantas Points to appear in your account within six weeks.
Getting a premium membership
You can also take advantage of exclusive bonus points offers if you’re a Qantas Wine premium member. It costs $99 to sign up and you’ll earn 3 Qantas Points per $1 spent. Members also receive exclusive invitations to gourmet food and wine events around Australia. As a premium member, you can also pick a preferred joining gift at the checkout to give you an idea of what you can expect from the program.
You can score a premium membership for free if you join Qantas Wine Club which is a no lock-in subscription service that will deliver hand-picked wines to your home every 3 months. As you receive a premium membership you can also earn 3 Qantas Points per $1 spent on wine in the subscription.
Buying wine with Qantas Points
You can also use your Qantas Points to purchase wine through the store, but it’s probably not the most valuable way to spend your points. As an example, you can purchase a bottle of Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Merlot 2018 for $65 or 11,310 Qantas Points at the time of writing. You could redeem an economy flight from Melbourne to Sydney (8,000 points) for fewer points than that.
If you do want to use your Qantas Points to buy wine, look out for the “Classic Wine Rewards” logo when you’re browsing the online store. This is because you’ll receive exclusive discounts of up to 40% off when you purchase a Classic Wine Reward using your points. Then when you’re checking out, you can select to pay with Qantas Points.

Important information about this website
finder.com.au is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We are committed to our readers and stands by our editorial principles
We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.
Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labeling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
We make money by featuring products on our site. Compensation received from the providers featured on our site can influence which products we write about as well as where and how products appear on our page, but the order or placement of these products does not influence our assessment or opinions of them, nor is it an endorsement or recommendation for them.
Products marked as 'Top Pick', 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.
Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product. You can learn more about how we make money.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
Please read our website terms of use and privacy policy for more information about our services and our approach to privacy.
We update our data regularly, but information can change between updates. Confirm details with the provider you're interested in before making a decision.
