How much is the Google Pixel 8 in Australia?

Pixel 8 prices in Australia start from $1,199:

  • $1,199 for the 128GB Pixel 8
  • $1,299 for the 256GB Pixel 8

If you're after the Pixel 8 Pro, it costs:

  • $1,699 for the 128GB Pixel 8 Pro
  • $1,799 for the 256GB Pixel 8 Pro

Telstra Pixel 8 plans deals

There aren't any active promotions from Telstra for the Pixel 8 range right now.

With Telstra's mobile plans, you'll also get:

  • 5G network access if it's available in your area.
  • Data sharing with up to 10 upfront mobile or data services linked to your account.
  • 4-month access to Spotify Premium for new subscribers and 2-month subscription to BINGE for new customers.
  • No excess data charges - your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps once you've used up your data allowance.
  • Unlimited international texts to all countries and at least 30 minutes of free calls.

Optus Pixel 8 plans and deals

Optus isn't offering any special deals for the Pixel 8 this month.

With Optus, you'll also get:

  • Access to Optus Sport at a discounted price. You'll pay $6.99 per month instead of $24.99.
  • 5G network coverage if you're within its coverage area.
  • Endless data - your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps once you've finished your monthly data allowance.
  • Data sharing across eligible linked accounts.
  • Unlimited international calls and texts to 35 countries (on its Medium plan and above).
  • Up to 10% in savings when you bundle 3 or more subscriptions via Optus SubHub.

Vodafone Pixel 8 plans and deals

There are no offers on the Pixel 8 from Vodafone this month, but if you get it on a Vodafone plan, you'll still get access to:

  • Infinite data - your speeds will be capped at 2Mbps once you've used up your monthly data allowance.
  • The Vodafone 5G network if it's available in your area.
  • Unlimited international texts and at least 300 minutes to selected countries on Medium plan and above.
  • $5 a day roaming to use your regular postpaid plan overseas.

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro specs and features

There's a big focus on cameras on the Pixel 8 Pro, which will ring a familiar bell as Apple's followed the same trend with the recent launch of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

It boasts a flagship-level 50MP main camera, with 21% more light sensitivity than its predecessor.

Google's almost making further use of AI to help make photos, videos and audio better.

And for the first time ever in a Pixel phone, Google's added a thermometer feature so you can quickly get the temperature of things by scanning them.
