The next generation of folding phones from Samsung have arrived including the latest Galaxy Watch 6 series and the Galaxy S9 family of tablets. The phones boast personalisation and customisation as running themes.

Similar to Optus and Vodafone, you get free storage upgrade, between $300-$500 trade-in bonus, free Samsung Care+ for a full year or 50% off if you opt for a 2-year subscription.

Lastly, you can also snag 5% off when you bundle with new Galaxy devices.

Prices to purchase this year's Z series outright start from $1,649. But you could easily save money with one of the pre-order offers from the telcos.

If you're in the market for a new flip phone, the pre-order period is usually your best chance to score value for money.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5: Specs

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is the thinnest model to date. Its flex window is the biggest upgrade where you can customise the front screen to do a multitude of things without having to flip your phone.

The Z Fold 5 comes with an S-Pen and is the toughest and lightest Fold yet, according to Samsung. You can expect a zero-gap hinge for a better grip, a less visible crease and similar display tech as the S23 Ultra.

When will the Galaxy Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 go on sale?

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 on 26 July 2023 9PM AEST.

Pre-orders kick off from 10pm AEST on the same day and will run until 17 August 2023.

The folding phones will officially go on sale from 18 August 2023.
