Get started with a new Konec Mobile plan and Oppo device for just $199.

There's a new kid on the block in the telco space. Konec Mobile says it's launching as an all-in-one solution provider that focuses on the 3 most important areas to Aussie mobile users: value, coverage and convenience.

Let's see what that looks like.

Konec Mobile plans and inclusions

Konec Mobile is keeping things simple off the bat with a choice from 4 prepaid SIM only plans.

Options include a couple of 30-day expiry plans. Those who like their plans to last a little longer can choose between a 90-day and a 365-day long expiry plan.

Konec Mobile customers will be able to bank and gift their data to better manage their usage. You can also add extra data and international calls to your plan as needed. Konec says its sign-up will take just 10 minutes too.

Konec Mobile: $199 special launch offer

Konec has partnered with retailer Big W to deliver an all-in-one bundle that includes:

  • An Oppo A57 ($349 RRP)
  • Konec Mobile Essential SIM plan ($25 value)

You'll save $175 compared to if you bought both the phone and the plan separately. It's not a bad deal at all especially with the cost of living on the rise. You can order through Konec's online store or pop into 1 of 177 Big W stores.

Konec hopes this will be the first in a series of planned partnerships.

General manager Jack Chang said:

"Big W was our partner of choice as we see great synergy with its customer base. The launch bundle is perfect for anyone wanting great value and a quality device without the exorbitant price tag. We're also in talks with different partners – both hardware and service providers – and we hope to introduce many more bundles that will bring added value to customers."

Which mobile network does Konec Mobile run on?

Konec will be running on parts of the Telstra network, covering 98.8% of Australians. It's not the same as being on the full Telstra network. However, compared to those on the Optus or Vodafone networks, Konec customers will still come out on top in coverage.

5G won't be available just yet.

How does Konec Mobile compare?

With low prices, its phone bundle and the top-tier Telstra network on its side, Konec certainly ticks the boxes on value, convenience and coverage.

Of course, it's not the only provider in the low-cost space. Among other providers on Telstra's network alone, its 22GB has similar prices to ALDI Mobile and Better Life Mobile while its $35 offering isn't dissimilar from plans from Exetel (except for a few GBs more). They're all some of the cheapest plans for that data amount of those we compare on Finder.
