What's the catch with this Optus deal?
The discount works via a pay-on-time method. That means you don't get the full discount when you first sign up. It'll add up to the total discounted amount over your chosen repayment period.
So for as long as you're signed up to either the 24- or 36-month plan, you'll receive a monthly discount. If you cancel or move to an ineligible plan, you'll need to pay out the remaining cost of the plan.
Why should I get a Samsung S23 on an Optus mobile plan?
Optus is 1 of the big 3 telcos in Australia that's able to offer a lot of value, with its plans heavily focused on entertainment.
With each Optus mobile plan, you get:
- Access to the Optus 4G/5G network. Its 4G network is the second-largest, covering 98.5% of Australians.
- Unlimited standard national calls and texts.
- Endless data with no excess data charges. Slowed to 1.5Mbps after you've used your limit for full-speed data.
- Optional unlimited data day add-on. For $5, unlock 24 hours of unlimited data that won't go towards your full-speed data limit.
- Access to Optus SubHub. Bundle 3 or more eligible subscriptions to save up to 10%.
- Catch the Premier League on Optus Sport for less. Pay just $6.99 a month. Subscription is normally $24.99 for non-Optus customers.
When do Optus's pre-order deals expire?
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is available to pre-order from Optus now. All discount offers end on 16 February 2023, with the official sale of the phone occuring the next day.
