Bringing you Finder's highest-rated Velocity and Qantas credit cards this month.

The best frequent flyer credit cards give you 2 things: plenty of Qantas or Velocity Points and other nice perks like complimentary travel insurance and airport lounge passes.

We've rounded up the best Qantas and Velocity Points-earning credit cards in February. Most of these cards offer all of the above, and some even have travel credits or cashbacks that offset their high annual fees.

1. American Express Velocity Platinum Card

The American Express Velocity Platinum Card has a frequent flyer Finder Score of 9.85.

This card now offers 100,000 bonus Velocity Points plus a high earn rate of 1.25 points per dollar and 100 Bonus Status Credits. You just need to spend $3,000 in the first 3 months with the card.

It's a solid offer all around, even with a $440 annual fee.

2. Qantas American Express Ultimate Card

The Qantas American Express Ultimate Card has a Finder Score of 9.81.

This is a really solid offer that gives you 100,000 bonus Qantas Points if you spend at least $5,000 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months. And the earn rate is high at 1.25 points per dollar.

Yes there's a $450 annual fee but guess what? It's offset by a $450 Qantas travel credit each year. If you use that, the card pays for itself before the points even come into it.

3. ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Card

The ANZ Frequent Flyer Black has a Finder Score of 9.7 in the frequent flyer category.

ANZ's Frequent Flyer Black Credit Card remains one of the best value offers on the market for Qantas Points hunters.

This card gives you 130,000 bonus Qantas Points (if you can wait 12 months for the last 40,000) and an earn rate of 1 point per dollar (up to $7,500 per statement period). You have to spend $5,000 in the first 3 months.

The card has a $425 annual fee, which is on the higher side. But you do get $200 back if you meet the bonus points criteria, so that's not too bad.

4. Qantas Premier Titanium

The Qantas Premier Titanium has a frequent flyer Finder Score of 9.56.

The Qantas Premier Titanium is one of the most rewarding Qantas cards around: 150,000 bonus Qantas Points, bonus status credits, flight discounts and more.

But the price of entry is steep: $1,200 annual fee and a minimum income of $200,000 a year.

5. Virgin Australia Velocity High Flyer Card

The Virgin Australia Velocity High Flyer Card has a Finder Score of 9.36.

With this card you get 80,000 bonus Velocity Points if you spend $3,500 per month for the first 2 months. The card has a decent earn rate of 1 Velocity Point per dollar, although this is capped at a pretty high $8,000 a month.

The $329 annual fee is lower than other top cards on this list, and it's also offset by a $129 Virgin Australia gift card.

Other top scoring frequent flyer cards in February

The HSBC Premier World MasterCard - Qantas Frequent Flyer has a Finder Score of 9.83 in the frequent flyer category. It offers a very high earn rate of 1.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent and there's no annual fee.

But this card doesn't have a bonus points offer. So it's a good option for anyone looking to earn points via spending, who maybe doesn't qualify for a bonus points offer because they're an existing customer (most bonus point offers are for new customers).

The Westpac Altitude Black credit card series has both a Qantas and Velocity versions, which score very highly (both have a Finder Score of a Finder Score of 9.35).

These cards both offer 120,000 bonus points when you spend $6,000 in the first 120 days and keep the card for 12 months. There's a $370 annual fee.

Details of these cards are correct at time of publication and subject to change. All these cards were identified as the "best" cards using the Finder Score, a data-driven methodology that considers rates, fees and card features.
