Prime Pet Insurance

Pros

  • Its 85% reimbursement rate (up to $14,000 per policy period) is 5% higher than 8 out of the 15 policies available on Finder.
  • Prime Pet is one of two pet insurers on Finder to automatically provide a dental illness benefit of up to $2,000 — that's $1,000 more than Bow Wow.
  • You can claim up to $2,000 for paralysis tick treatment – that's higher than lots of other insurers.

Cons

  • Its $14,000 annual benefit limit is $2,000 higher than the likes of Budget Direct, Coles, and Petsecure, but it's market-leading. Out of 15 insurers available on Finder, 9 offer more.
  • It doesn't come with an accident-only option like most pet insurers.
  • Like most insurers, if your pet has a chronic pre-existing condition, you won't be covered.
Prime pet insurance is not currently available via Finder. But don't fret! You can head to their website at www.primepetinsurance.com.au for more information or compare a bunch of other pet insurance companies with Finder.
