Who is Apia?

Apia is an Australian insurance company aimed specifically at people over 50. It offers a broad range of insurance products, including car and vehicle, home and property, CTP, health, and funeral insurance.

Apia is part of the Suncorp Group. It previously offered travel insurance but confirmed it would no longer do so in February 2021.

When did Apia stop offering travel insurance?

Apia announced it would be permanently ending its travel insurance offering in February 2021.

Why did Apia stop offering travel insurance?

In 2021, Suncorp Group, the parent company of Apia, confirmed it was permanently stopping travel insurance across all brands.

"Suncorp Group announced we would permanently cease underwriting travel insurance under all brands in February 2021," a Suncorp representative told Finder. "This was part of our efforts to simplify our operations."

    Why is it so difficult to get a quote online. I am going to Bali from 25/7 to 31/7/16. I would like a travel insurance quote please. I am 66 years of age.

    I do have osteo arthritis can I still get cover

      Thanks for your question. There is no mention of osteoarthritis in the product disclosure statement of Apia if you’re asking about them.

    I left my laptop in a taxi after leaving the marina bay sands in Singapore on 14th of april which i reported to the taxi company
    but no damage was done as it was locked and i changed all my bank passwords.
    Do i have any chance of a claim.

    Does the overseas comprehensive policy cover damage to or theft of a motor home/

      The comprehensive travel insurance policy from APIA does not cover damage to or theft of a motorhome. You may need to get your MotorHome insurance to ensure you are covered when something happens unexpectedly to your motorhome.

If necessary, speak to the insurance brand to verify any details.

    can i get cancellation insurance only,thank you.
