How do I apply for Bupa Travel Insurance?

Here’s how to apply for one of Bupa’s travel insurance policies.

  • Compare policy options. Choose the plan that provides the best cover for your holiday at the best rate.
  • Get a quote. You can apply for a quote online or by phone.
  • Read the fine print. Different policies offer different levels of cover, so make sure that you understand the product disclosure statement (PDS) before agreeing to purchase a policy.
  • Look out for optional extras. If you need additional cover for specific items or equipment, check to see whether extra cover is available to upgrade your policy.

How do I make a claim with Bupa Travel Insurance?

If you have to file a claim from your policy, here’s how to get the process started.

  1. Get in touch. Contact CGU as soon as possible. The sooner you get in touch the more likely you are to get your claim paid.
  2. Provide documentation. Depending on the nature of your incident, you will be asked to provide supporting documentation including police and medical reports, statements from transport providers, receipts, proof of ownership, tickets and valuations.
  3. Cooperate. Be honest when providing information about the incident. A case manager will be assigned to your claim and will keep you updated on its progress. You will be informed about any excess payable when you file the claim.
