How does Insure4Less Travel Insurance cover COVID-19?

Insure4Less Travel Insurance is 1 of 23 insurers that offer some cover for COVID-19. The following 3 key benefits are covered:

  • Overseas medical expenses if you are diagnosed while on your journey
  • Additional travel and accommodation expenses to enable your return home if you're unable to continue your trip as planned
  • Quarantine costs

Cover may be limited for some plans (e.g. Medical Only) and medical expenses are not covered at all in Australia as this is already covered by Medicare or your private health insurance.

If you're at all worried about COVID-19 upsetting your travel plans, we've compared all the providers that offer cover for pandemic-related expenses.

Here's the bottom line about Insure4Less Travel Insurance

Insure4Less offers a range of policies to suit your needs, from Medical Only all the way to the more comprehensive Excel Plus. It's also one of the few providers to cover a vast range of adventure activities, like shark-cage diving and sky diving as standard. If you're heading overseas on a one-way ticket or already overseas and need cover, Insure4Less is one of the only providers we've seen that will cover you.

On the other hand, its travel cancellation cover could leave you wanting more. Not only are you only covered for a maximum of $10,000, but Insure4Less has a general exclusion for claims arising from pre-trip cancellation in relation to COVID-19. You'll be left to negotiate a refund with your airline and travel providers if you are diagnosed with COVID-19 before starting your trip.
